It was a two and a half hours travel time from home to office then from office back to home. It was raining heavily since this morning. I arrived at the office at 12pm and I was told that those who lived extreme south or extreme north and flood prone areas could go home. I asked my superior if I could go home. She said, yes. Well, I do not like to play hero as I used to be. I rather go home and my VL credits be chopped to two.
I think that the company cares for its employee releasing that memo to send employees home for our safety. If I stayed at the office, it is 100% sure, that I will have a hard time commuting at 2100H. There is even a possibility that I might reach home at 2400H. That is what the company is trying to avoid. Safety first. I accepted their care and now I am sitting pretty here at the comfort of my home.
There is no storm signal yet in metro manila but the winds are strong already. The sun did not show up too! I hope everyone will be home safe later as I am now.

i can fully relate to your predicament…hay hirap ng buhay ng isang manggagawang pinoy
Rain or shine, commuting in Metro Manila can be a pain.
Thanks for stopping by the other day. I would’ve visited sooner, but I was really busy the last couple of days. Hope to see you on my blog again soon.
Cheers!
I hope everything turns out okay, with the weather.
It is wonderrful that you company did that, here in the US they don’t always follow that train of thought and my husband who commutes to another town for work, has dealt with difficult travel and risky situations to get home or to work.
