Pay less!

24 Oct

The windows are one of the attractions of the living room or any part of the room for that matter. It is also a necessity so that enough amount of light would come in. Windows are usually dressed up with blinds or curtains.

One time, our friend who is about to decorate her newly purchased condominium unit asked our help. Well, besides getting ideas from the magazines, it always pay to hear tips and tricks of home décor from those in know how of these matters. Luckily, a common friend has his pad just recently touched by an interior decorator. He invited us to come to his place so that we could see for ourselves what was done to his space. Oh, it was cozy. One of the things that caught my attention is those Bamboo Shades! It looked so cool and it matched his wood furniture. I am sure that it also creates a nice effect when the sun is up at shiny. Imagine those tiny lights coming out of those small openings. I asked him if it was expensive. He said that it is not and most of all, it easy clean. Low maintenance yet durable. That would mean a lot of savings.

Are you interested? Go to Paylessdecor.com. You might just find there what you are looking for. It might be high time to change your blinds or curtains. Get it now and pay less!

Still Fabulous at Sixty

22 Oct

Her face covered with light make up after that moisturizing cream.

I wonder if her fragrant smell came from that or her lotion, I can feel her still smooth skin as it rubbed on my arms.

Her hair was well trimmed at shoulder length shiny and wavy.

There were some proud gray hairs showing up.

She was dressed modestly with that not so red blouse and black pants.

Her feet were clean, toenails were trimmed.

She was wearing black slippers.

When you look at her, you would see the joy and contentment of the days she had lived and is continue living.

She looked fab and happy.

Oh, she was about to alight from the public vehicle we were riding. She said to the driver; please accept my payment, senior citizen.

What is it with Technorati update?

21 Oct

I read from Sasha and Adam regarding Technorati update. I thought I would be spared because this blog is very young. Yes, it just turned three months last October 14. Before my WW post, my technorati is 30. I wrote Mom and Child Talk, then my technorati went down to 7! How was that? I am really disappointed because I do not know how to increase that stat. I am just thankful that it keeps on increasing eventhough slowly…now, it dropped.

Anyways, I will not write the Technorati people. I know that others have done it already. I will just wait for the news. I hope it would be a good one.

He looked like Piolo!

17 Oct

My ride going back home was okay. It was actually fun for the first time. I was able to ride a jeepney with its sound system playing mellow music. Nah, I did not fall asleep. I busied myself secretly glancing at the person sitting opposite me. Hey, he looks like Piolo! See, the picture? Piolo Pascual is a matinee idol here in our country. Anyway going back at the guy at the jeep… Uh,oh…he has a ring on at his left hand! He must be married? He did not look like one! He must be around 20-25 years old. He was on a white polo shirt, jeans, Adidas rubber shoes and Ballibong napsack! He was also wearing a silver wristwatch. No, I was not able to observe him enough. Ha,ha,ha! He also has another ring on his right hand. Okay, he must be 19-20 years old because of his style. He also has two wrist bands in blue and yellow. He also has a mole on his lower chin at the left. Piolo’s is around the forehead- left side also right? Oh, well… at least I had a good looking travel companion for the first time huh!….

Have a great weekend, you all!

I want my own car

14 Oct

I would like to have my own car. You know, it is hard to commute everyday especially during rush hour and rainy days! However, I could not buy one with my salary. I have to have extra income. A business, maybe? The first thing to think of is the capital for it. I have to get even just a Small Business Loan.

Small Business Loans are being offered by many financial institutions but I would like to find one where there is easy process, fast funding and most of all has excellent service. I might settle for a Small Business Financing. It easier to deal with them and they even offer unsecured loans.

Dream vacation

13 Oct

If I had the money, I think I would go to Italy. This is a very romantic place and has always been my dream place to go. I have a glimpse of the beauty of Rome, Venice, Florence and Naples only in the movies. Going there someday would really be a dream come true.

I think I better search now for the prices so that I would know how much should I save for that trip or just in case someone would offer me one. Lol! Internet is always useful for searches like this. I found this site freereservation.com and you could find there and see the pictures of hotels, apartments and country house of the place you would like to go to. I search for Hotel Naples and Hotel Florence . This site even has the map for you to see where your choice of place to stay is located. You could also actually specify in your search whether you would like a place that is located in the center of the city, near the center or at Hinterland.

I was also able to learn about Bed breakfast Paris. I think I might settle for this package. Anyways, if ever I would have the chance to visit a foreign land, I would definitely be out of the hotel to discover the beauty of the country. A B&B would be more practical too.

The art of complementing others

12 Oct

I saw a familiar face on my way to the office. She greeted me first with a nod and a smile so I reciprocated. Then she said. “Ang taba mo ngayon!”. It means that she thinks I am fat or I got bigger the last time she saw me. I just answered her with a smile. I do not know if that was not a sincere one that made her started a conversation. Maybe she felt that I was not happy with her remark? She asked me again if I am the sister of the wife of his nephew. I answered with a nod. Then she asked me if I could still remember her. I just said yes. Oh, she had not seen me for almost a decade! It is obvious that I had gained some weight after ten long years.

Am I hurt with her remark? Not really, I am just thinking why do we have to greet someone and mention something bad about her? I know somebody whom you can expect that when she opens her mouth, she only speak of nice things. She is a very good conversationalist. From her I got the art of complementing other people. Oh, I really miss her. She is the mother of my very good friend. They are now in Canada.

Anyways, I hope that when the aunt of my brother in law and I meet again, anywhere… she would be able to say something nice about me already…like…You lost some weight!
Oh, by the way, we met in a jeepney thus all the passengers looked at how fat I am when she said that.

The Shuttle Service

09 Oct

We love riding the airplane. We can only do it once a year though and it is even free! That is during our annual team celebration program. This activity gives us an opportunity to bond with the members of our team. What a great idea by the company, is it not? It is our break off from work. We usually choose a destination that is really far and would need an airplane ride. Yes, we have to pay extra because it usually cost more than the allowable expense provided by the company. What is important to us is that we could ride that airplane once more.Lol!

After the airplane ride, the next thing to look for is a shuttle service that would bring us to our destination. Most of the time, the land travel is even longer than the plane ride that is why, we hope that the shuttle service that we could get is somehow like that of JFK Shuttle. We would like a first class service of course. There was one time that the one we got has no room for our backpacks and trolleys! It was really uncomfortable. JFK Shuttle service makes sure that the vehicle that they will provide has enough room for the passengers and the luggage!
