Yesterday was the most tiring travel I have ever had. Well, that is from office to our house. I do not know what there was…could it be because it was the opening of Twilight? Nah…I guess no connection at all. There was completely no traffic but actually lack of available jeepney to ride. I decided to take short rides instead. When I reached Batasan~ the stop where there is supposedly lots of jeeps waiting going to our town` there was none! I decided to kill time at the market and look for my favorite vegetables. There were also clothes and slippers vendors. Much more, prated DVD sellers! That place is really busy. Anyways, besides jeepneys, there is also the tricycle station going to some towns. There is also one going to our place. Well, it had been quite long since I waited and I really wanted to go home thus I just took the tricycle ride. What was it with the driver? He was so fast, I am actually praying that we would not encounter any accident! It was a wide highway and he was racing against cars,jeeps,trucks and other tricycles! Maybe he wanted to go back immediately for more passengers? How about our safety? He even demanded for a higher fare because of the demand. That is one thing I do not like about some public transportation drivers. They take advantage whenever there is an opportunity. Why not play fair and just charge the normal fare? Anyways, after that ride, I sort of promised myself not to do it again. I thank the One Above that I came home safely. When I reached home, I sat at the dining table and eat! I was really tired. After that, I tried watching some TV and I did not know it but I woke up 8AM today.

More family time
Staying late tonight. I got some deadlines and I could not afford to lose them by missing it out. Well, we are waiting also my sister-in-law. She would bring to us the gifts from Japan. Yes, my husband’s cousin just arrived this afternoon and because she is generous, she has some stuff for the whole family. I would like to actually invite her here for lunch. She would only be in the country until December 2. Actually, she is just going to attend a first birthday party of the son of one of her friends. Pretty expensive invitation, huh! Well, she has not been here for almost two years thus, she said, yes without hesitation. Of, course, the birthday party is only secondary. The main reason she is here is to see her mother who is based here.
This cousin-in-law of mine loves to play the slot machine. Actually before her flight today, she went to the casino yesterday. She wanted to have more money so that she could buy more toys for her nephews whom she promised some of the newest gadgets. Well, yes, she is that thoughtful. That is why; I might just introduce her to Golden Palace Casino. She is an insomniac too thus she could play anytime she wants. The best thing about this? She could play at home online! I am sure her hubby and only would be happy to have that additional time with her. Well, she is also a working mother that is why her diversion takes some of her rest days.
Mom and Child Talk: Hey, Mom! You look like Shantal!
Okay, it is confirmed, my son is really fond of his classmate in school. I had a hair cut. I am now sporting a short hair like that of young girls. My husband and kid accompanied me to the hair salon. After 30 minutes of hair cutting session~ yeah, I had a big thick hair, Dyandaran! Apple cut or one length as they call it. My son, shouted, Hey,Mom! You look like Shantal! Uh,oh! I did not imagine my son having a girlfriend at five years old! I have seen this young girl and she actually looked older than my son. She is actually the top student in their class. No wonder that my child likes her. Maybe he sees me in her? It only means that she is kind, I suppose. I went to the school yesterday to get my son’s card and I asked the teachers on how my son is progressing. They said that he could now communicate with other kids. Oh, my son also like to transfer seat. I found out that Shantal and another boy, Jacob` who is cute and adorable are my son’s playmates. No transfer of seats then because they might just play all day instead of studying!

Do not mess up with an OC lady who pays taxes
It is the birthday of my former office mate yesterday. Happy Birthday, Tricia! Well, the funniest thing I could remember is her encounter with a conductor. Too bad jeepneys do not give tickets as proof of payment. Anyways, it is her habit to pay the moment she takes her seat. It is a one hour drive before she reaches home. Usually, everyone who rides that jeep are all going to one place meaning there is no stop except for the final destination. By the way, Tricia is pretty. She has shoulder length curls and has a fair white skin. She is very neat and decent looking also. She was having a peaceful ride trying to rest after a day’s work when suddenly the conductor called her attention loudly telling her that she had not paid yet. Blood rushed to her head and she literally looked red. She was fuming mad because everyone was looking at her. She could not contain herself and told the conductor,” Hey, be sure of what you are saying before you open your mouth again. I already paid! There is no reason for me to run away with a few pesos considering that I am a tax payer! How about you? I do not know if you abide by your citizen’s duties at all!” Good thing that somebody seconded that indeed, she paid already.
Oh, well! Do not mess up with an OC lady who pays taxes!
Dishonest or first time to commute?
Well, it pays to have an assistant if you are a jeepney driver. The one that I rode going home had his wife to accept payments and to give change. A jeepney could seat 20-24 persons depending on its size. The wife had a good memory, I would say. She knew who had to alight at every stop and most of all those who did not pay yet.
Usually, the staright trip does not have passengers who would go down just after one block. It is minimum of four stops before someone would leave.
During that quiet journey, the wife asked,” Who has to go down at this stop? The one who accepted the change of P10!?”. It took a few seconds before a young lady in office uniform answered. Good thing the light was not bright. The wife asked the lady to give the change back. Supposedly, she should have not accepted the change at all if she commutes everyday to avoid the humiliation for a ten peso coin!
Let us give her the benefit of the doubt though. Maybe it was her first time to commute? Okay!

Stop spreading the news… Hey, do you know the song with that first line? It plays on my mind whenever I think of New York besides of course the statue of liberty, huh! Anyways, one of my office mates would be flying to the United States by December for her honeymoon. New York is in the list of the places they would go to. Wow! They would be riding one of those New York Bus Charters to tour the Big Apple. I am sure it would be fun. It is a dream come true for my office mate. Would you believe that it would be her first time to go out of the country and it is already United States! Yes, almost everybody here would like to go there. She is encouraging me to apply for a tourist visa also. She said that the consuls seem kind for every applicant who would bring a kid along. You know, to visit the Disneyland and other parts of the US, of course. I might and I wish to be able to set foot there also someday. Not just yet. For now, I have to content myself seeing beautiful places and things in the internet. Wow, those tourist buses from NYC Bus Charter are real attractive. I am sure mere riding that would already be enjoyable.

Even during commuting, I was reading the Twilight series. I did not care if someone would attempt to snatch my mobile phone. All I wanted was to finish the books. And, I did! I love Breaking Dawn. I saw the climax of the story in my mind and it is very good! There are many characters in that ending. At first it seemed to go dragging but before you could even think of it as that, a new surprise would come in that would make you keep your eyes on that scene again, never wanting to let go until you see what would come next. That happened to me and I did not care of the lack of sleep and being away from my usual TV and blogging.
I can’t wait to watch the film. I saw the trailers at YouTube and seemed impressive enough. I certainly hope that it will give justice to the story.
