Manic Monday- Candy

February 16th, 2009
One of the memes that I love is Manic Monday.
The theme for today is candy!
Oh, who does not love candy?
When we were kids, our parents  warned us not to accept candies from strangers. My innocent mind asked, why just candies? Do not accept anything from a stranger could be more appropriate, right?
Anyways, maybe because a candy is handy, it could be easily be given and accepted and swallowed?
As a commuter, I always have candies inside my bag or pocket. Well, you do not know how long any trip could be. Candy is versatile. It is not only a dessert but could actually be your temporary meal for the day until you reach home and have a decent one. In all our travels we always bring candies. It always serves its purpose. Candies could help you prevent ulcers.
My favorite candy? Those caramel and butter flavored ones! Yum,yum!

Think most of us love candy ~ I try not to eat too much, but can’t totally eliminate from my diet – ha! Love thinking of the candy we had growing up – way back in the olden days!! Anybody remember “Firesticks” ?? These were so good – you could suck on them forever!

yes need to avoid all that sugar. in the past probably people “lace” candies with something to cheat others and use them as a lure, that is why parents warn kids about candies. i remember some anti-govt group members distributing Love candies before at school and they were still very warm. in my kid’s imagination i was thinking that the candies just came out of a big pot with some other things there. dunno whether it was true or not.
