Late bloomer

Believe it or not, I am not yet through with my Christmas shopping or should I say gift giving? ;) Ha,ha,ha! My friend asked me if I will be at the office on December 31 and New Year’s Day. I told her that I will be on rest day today and will be at the office on the first day of the year! She said that she has a schedule too. I shouted my thoughts out loud that I hope I will finally be able to give my gifts by that time. She smiled and agreed! Hi,hi,hi!

Before, by September or before Christmas day, I am done with my shopping. It was very easy to shop. For older me who smokes, I just have to buy Backwoods cigars. For women, a bottle of cologne or perfume will do. For kids, toys or clothes will be the answer. What happened lately? The budget! Now, you understand! ;)

I could not miss the fireworks, wine and cake

For those who were on wheels yesterday, did you notice that it was extra congested? Well, I never experienced such traffic for the longest time. My good friend offered me a ride home and I saw it as a bonding moment thus I agreed to ride with her. The route was not really out of the way but I knew that iw will be very hard for me to catch the needed one ride for me to get home. I was wrong. Since it was a Holiday, I was able to catch a bus in no time. What I did not expect was the TRAFFIC! I had a migraine attack! The usuaul ten to fifteen minutes ride became one hour! Anyways, I just noticed. I plan to go out again later but now I am having second thoughts. It is almost New Year’s eve and I could not afford to be stuck at the road while the others are already enjoying the fireworks, wine and cake!

Resurrect dead connections

I was browsing through the most popular social network and saw that our high school batch will be having its reunion after twenty years! That quite struck me and let me stop and think. What will I do there? I dread to compare resumes with my previous batch mates. To think that I was one of the top students before, I do not really think that I am more successful than them. As a matter of fact, those who seemed to be naughty students are even doing great in their careers right now as I have seen in their profiles.

Anyways, what is the purpose of a reunion? I think, for us to get in touch again and have fun reminiscing high school memories even for just one night. Who knows? I could even find old friends and rekindle or resurrect dead connections. Now, that should be one thing I should look forward to!

Christmas rush

We went out yesterday and it was really hard to get any form of public transportation. Name it! From jeepney to bus to fx to cab, very scarce! Finally, there was a taxi who let us in but in one condition, we have to pay double. The driver said that it was really traffic and as a matter of fact, he was about to go home. We could not do anything about it… if only we have our own car? It was a good thing that we met with my College friend who happened to have a car… Going home was easier as she dropped us off to the jeepney station. We arrived home early, safe and sound. Thanks, friend!

Convenient and practical

Yesterday, I met with my friend who is based in Canada. She is asking me to visit her for a vacation. She said that I do not have to check in at Toronto hotels and I could just stay at her place. That is a very great idea. I would love to go to Canada. I would prefer staying in a hotel though so that I will not cause my friend any trouble. Anyways, there are travel packages that already include hotel accommodation. I think that it is more convenient and practical.

Cold morning

I love the idea of having a job. In times like this though that it is real cold and a weekend, I hope that I am on a vacation. I have to go to the office in an hour. I am still in my PJs! I had breakfast though. The leftover spaghetti from last night’s party. Ahhh… sometimes you just eat for the sake of eating. You just have to fill that stomach so that there will be no grumbling later. No wonder many people get fat… New Year’s resolution once again? I have broken each one every year. I guess, I should stop making. :)

Brrrr…. it is real cold. I am so lazy to get up. But, I must.

Paging generous hearts

After three tablets of my favorite paracetamol and a few hours of extra sleep, I think I have my energy back. Is that all I need? That is all I can afford as of this time. But what I really I have in mind is a vacation! Well, summer here is in about three months. I really hope that we could go to the beach. If we could afford to go to a Cancun All Inclusive Adults Only vacation, surely we will pack our bags immediately! Paging generous hearts!

I really envy some of my friends who could travel to places that they love to go to. I think traveling should really be a priority. We should discover the world! Mexico is a perfect destination for lovers who would like to take some time out of their busy worlds and just enjoy each other’s company in a paradise on earth!

Missing the road

After 5 days, I will have to commute again. No, I did not have a car already. It is just that, I was on vacation for 5 days. I spent those days mostly inside the house taking care of my son. Now, I have to go back to work. That means commuting again! It is alright, though. I love the idea of having a job. I could not afford to lose it at any time. I might have some apprehensions with the present group that I am in right now but my feelings are less important than being able to put food at the table…

So, welcome me back all dust and air pollution…. Yeah, we do not have clean air to breathe here… We need trees but I really do not know where all the trees have gone….

Where are you, Anna? Yes, I am looking for myself. Am I lost? In many ways, I guess…
I am trying to find myself. I am trying to find the old me. Oh, I could not bring back the past. I could not buy the times that had passed. I could not change what has been done.

What can I do? Make that fist step, I guess. Yes, I should. I should be my old self again.

Then, I think… How was the old me?
