Two accidents

February 13th, 2010

Yesterday was not the first time that I met an accident while traveling. The first time was when we had a trip in the north. I was with my husband then. Maybe the bus driver was really sleepy that he hit a post. We were near the driver. Two rows away. The broken pieces of the windshield tried to go to our direction. Thank God, no one was really that hurt that day.

Yesterday, I had my usual jeepney ride. I was really sleepy but I managed to stay awake. It was His plan as I know that He knows something will happen. Going to any place means passing many intersections. Most are accident prone areas. I experienced the most often yesterday. I really was not able to see the actual scene or how the jeep hit the car or the other way around. It is a question of right of way? One thing I could clearly remember was the screeching sound of the collission. No one get hurt. I immediately went down to leave the situation. I managed to check the wrecked car. I was glad that the young man inside that looked fine. He did not go out of the car yet. Maybe he was shocked and did not know what to do.

I got another ride just like that. Then I felt all the energy melting down. I feared for my life. I was also shocked. I was sad. I felt helpless. I wanted to cry. I mumbled a little prayer. Then, I was composed again. I decided not to tell anyone. I had to let it cool down first. I do not want to entertain how bad it was. When I was sure that I could handle it already, I finally called my husband before 6PM that I met that road accident. And now, I am writing about it.

Be safe everyone!
