The results of the first quarter are in! I feared already that I will see not so good grades. My son got sick in time for their first quarter exam thus he had to take it alone. I could still remember taking special tests, I really got lower grades compared to taking the exam together with the rest of the class. Okay, the real reason maybe that my son did not get good grades is because he really did not study that well. My husband reviewed the parts where our kid missed and those were because of the tricky questions. Hey, would you expect a six year old boy to have an analytical mind? Anyways, I just told my husband that now, he knows how the questions are made thus he has to train our son also how to think for the tricky questions.
Anyways, his grades in Math are still okay. His weakness lies in subjects where Filipino language is used. My son came to me and told me, I could not really understand much Tagalog. I told him that since it is our language being Filipinos, then he should learn it. I declared that from that time on, we shall speak Filipino and no more English for the meantime until his grades become better.
