My son was able to watch in the news about the human android. It is a robot that has the ability to give human expressions.

A while ago, my son said that he wants to make an android. A robot whom he could talk to. I told him that he could not talk to the robot the way he talks to us. He asked, why? I told him because the robot does not have a brain to understand him. He said, let us buy a brain that we could put in the robot. I told him that it would not be possible. He asked why? I told him that a brain is a gift from God. I told him that living things have brain…except from plants, huh! You know what my son said next? He said that since we eat animals like chicken, cow and pig, why don’t we get their brains and put it in the robot that he wants? He said that he needs the robot for his companion.

Oh, dear child of mine. I think what you need is a brother or a sister.

I have mentioned that my child is sick. However, I still have to go to the office. Good thing my husband is available to take care of him. I just content myself with those phone calls. I check up almost every hour if he had his milk, took his medicines, and if those medications are helping.

My son had improved and he talked to me over the phone: Mom, please go home, I need you. Oh, I could hear my husband’s laughter in the background. Maybe he was surprised to hear that also. I am touched. My son is five years old and beginning to mature. Most of all, I am glad that he could already appreciate all those things that I am doing for him. Indeed, a mother’s care is no compare.

I told some of my office mates about it. I am a proud Mommy.

Now, my son is begging for me not to go to the office again. Hmmm… he had sensed that I was pleased with what he said about needing me. He is repeating it over and over again. Manipulative? Maybe he just misses me every time that I am not around.

That is the reality working mothers are facing today. No matter how much we want to stay home and take care of our kids, we need to sacrifice. After all, as we always say, what we are doing is also for them.

If given the chance, yes, I want to be a stay at home mother and watch and guide my kid every step of the way.

Uh,oh! My son has now the idea of the value of money. Yes, we are trying to explain to him that we could not buy all the things he wants because we could not afford it somehow. Also, he knows that I am working late at nights for extra income. I did not know that he would understand it this early. Well, not in a matured manner but he always asks now if we already have money to buy his toys.

We went to a family reunion and many of our relatives gave him cash. He was very happy. He told his Dad that we should drop by the mall. Upon seeing the toys that he was eyeing for quite some time now, he said,” let us buy that now! I have money!”.

I got my bonus today (yippeee!) and my husband and I were discussing a while ago regarding the expenses for the Christmas dinner. I gave him my share and my son saw it. He said, “Give me more money, Mom. I want to buy more toys!”.

Oh, no! I did not want this! I do not want my son to be like that. I do not like him to have that perception.

It is indeed hard to mold a child to grow up to be a good person. Things that we do or say would be instilled in their young minds whether we consciously want them to do so or not. I guess, we really have to think first and be careful on whatever we do especially when this little man of ours is around.

Okay, it is confirmed, my son is really fond of his classmate in school. I had a hair cut. I am now sporting a short hair like that of young girls. My husband and kid accompanied me to the hair salon. After 30 minutes of hair cutting session~ yeah, I had a big thick hair, Dyandaran! Apple cut or one length as they call it. My son, shouted, Hey,Mom! You look like Shantal! Uh,oh! I did not imagine my son having a girlfriend at five years old! I have seen this young girl and she actually looked older than my son. She is actually the top student in their class. No wonder that my child likes her. Maybe he sees me in her? It only means that she is kind, I suppose. I went to the school yesterday to get my son’s card and I asked the teachers on how my son is progressing. They said that he could now communicate with other kids. Oh, my son also like to transfer seat. I found out that Shantal and another boy, Jacob` who is cute and adorable are my son’s playmates. No transfer of seats then because they might just play all day instead of studying!

I really contest that he does not know the colors. He does not know how to read yet but surely he can tell what those colors are. It is the teacher’s responsibility to ask him and guide him to encircle the word that says the color, right? Good thing it is still my rest day. I will definitely go to his school and dispute this. As I have said in my previous posts, I do not aim for honors but he should be given the grade that he deserves.
