So, last day of vacation for me and tomorrow, back to work again! How’s my resting so far? Not really good! Well, Saturday, we went to the mall. My husband was looking for a Rock Band 3 tape for Wii. We did not find one. We did some shopping though. We were able to go home at around 10PM already.

Sunday, I was able to have some rest. I slept for around two to three hours in the afternoon, I guess. But, the disturbing cough never really left me.

Monday, Chinese New Year! I was able to rest a little. In the afternoon, I and husband went out again. We went to a nearby mall–Montalban Town Center. Good thing we were able to find some good and affordable floor tiles for the kitchen. We will go back there by second week of February.

Today is Tuesday, I am on VL. I do not really expect myself to have some rest as son will go back to school. Hubby is not around as he will renew his driver license.

Anyways, I have to keep going, I guess. Cough is still here. Colds is here too.

What enters your mind about Medicare part D plan? D for disability? I could still remember way back in our elementary days, we were sold insurance policies in a one eight piece of paper. We were even excited to pay for a very minimal amount and thought of how much we can get if ever the inevitable happens. Those were innocent thoughts before. Today that I am all grown up, it is the real thing. Well, being able to know and prioritize what is important and that includes preparation on things that we do not really expect.

The exit alarm at our floor is being tested. It is time of the year again that drills are being held. I could still remember one scary drill day. We thought that it was a drill but for all we knew, it was the real thing! There was a bomb threat! The office admin officer did a good job of bringing everybody out of the building safe. It turned out that it was a hoax but then again, safety is the priority. Nobody wanted to be blamed if in case somebody was serious to cause harm.

It is a beautiful Monday Morning! We are trying to always keep the positive vibe whenever we wake up in a Monday, don’t we? The week should start right.

We always wake up. That is a good thing. We have reasons to. What are your reasons to wake up? As for me, I need to. I have a family I love so much that I need to wake up, get up and work…

Life is beautiful. We should not only wake up because we have to work because we need to. We should enjy life at its best. Every moment… Everyday, we should have a good memory…

It is Monday once again. I hope to collect good memories. I hope to consume every minute in a very meaningful way…

Where are you, Anna? Yes, I am looking for myself. Am I lost? In many ways, I guess…
I am trying to find myself. I am trying to find the old me. Oh, I could not bring back the past. I could not buy the times that had passed. I could not change what has been done.

What can I do? Make that fist step, I guess. Yes, I should. I should be my old self again.

Then, I think… How was the old me?

Too much words have written… It is now time for some action…

I am quite afraid for life. You know, if ever I have to leave earth ahead of my husband and son. I was looking at my child a while ago as he played with his bubble machine. After that, he asked for his favorite apple juice. He is enjoying the life he has now. He is healthy. We provide for his needs and we take care of him the best way that we can. I asked my husband, what if we will not be around for him anymore? That sort of alarmed me and I thought, is it time for me to consider an insurance quote and eventually get it? I know that time will come that each of us has to go. It is a matter of preparation. It is a matter of being ready. Right now, I am not ready yet.

All Souls Day is actually November 2 but it has been a tradition among Filipinos to go to the cemetery every November 1. People offer flowers and candles and I hope prayers too for their departed loved ones.

Life is really short if we are to think of it. We are always sad whenever someone passed away. My husband said that we should not be. He always believe that it is happier there. Even though we do not really know if there is heaven and hell, our faith makes us believe so… and we choose to believe that after death, we will go to heaven and it is peaceful there.

I do not want to be negative as I promised myself to concentrate on better things but you see, every time you wake up, what you are going to do is to tire yourself… If I will be given another chance to live, I might just pursue my first ambition and that is to be a nun…. Well, I would love praying the whole day instead of thinking everyday how to earn more.

What order do you belong? I belong to the order fulfillment. It is so because I am from the fulfillment department. Our manager always tells us that we should be part of our job and she is doing all her best to make us the number one. She wants us to be in the highest rank and the increase in pay, hopefully would follow.

In life, there are also social orders or social rankings. Before, I thought that we belong to the middle class. After a decade, we now belong to the poor society. That is reflective of the economic situation in our country. Or, maybe because, I am now a real part of the society since I am already working for myself. Unlike before, I have my parents to depend on. Now, I have to earn to live. I have to save to improve my way of living. Work very hard.

Actually, it hit us last Sept. 26 though the rain started that night of September 25. I have not really shared yet the photos of the damage that it caused to our personal belongings. Well, I submitted some pictures to our HR department as it is required for the calamity assistance. Let me share another picture. We only have a small house thus it is the view of our living room and dining room. Yes, we need to buy new things like modern sofas, a new dining set, new flooring! What I mean about the flooring is that we need to decide if we will put back the old vinyl tiles that we had to remove because of the mud or maybe we should go for ceramic tiles this time. To be honest, until now, I am not really into it yet. I am afraid that all will be washed away by the flash flood again.

Would you rather be alone?
Sleep tight?
Wake up whenever you feel like?
No one to disturb you.
No one to ask you for help
No one to force you to work
Would you rather be alone?

I closed my eyes.
It felt quiet.
I tried to imagine…

No, I could not be alone.
If I wanted to, then I should have not waited that long.
This is what I wanted.

Sometimes I might feel tired.
Exhausted.
Meaningless.

Then, I wake up.
Today…

Sometimes this thought comes in once in a while.
Would I rather be alone?
The answer is always a BIG NO!
