You can close your eyes

25 Nov
Facebook works for me more than other social networks because it continuously connects people even without you knowing it. I am glad to see elementary and  highschool buddies!

It makes me realize that I am getting old though. Anyways, it is also a reminder for me that life is really short.

We should spend each day like it is our last day.

Live, love, be alive!
Smile, cry, frown… do everything!

Just make sure that everything is worth it.

At the end of the day, thank God for another one and look forward to another tomorrow…

if there will be none anymore, then it is okay because you are contented and you know that you did good.

You can close your eyes peacefully and your lips with that smile.
Have a great day everyone!

Birth pains

01 Jul

I could still remember when I gave birth to my son. I had a C-section. It was indeed painful. The recovery phase was very uncomfortable especially the external catheter that they inserted inside me. Good thing that after one day, I fully recovered. Yes, I was that strong, then. Maybe I was excited to go home and take care of my child.

I wonder where hospitals get their medical supplies. I hope that they get it from a trusted source like AllegroMedical. Actually, even you and I could shop there. You could find almost everything there like baby products, wound care products, first aid kits, and even exercise equipments.

Smiling eyes

11 Jun

I have the habit of staying late because of watching movies online or trying to catch late telecasts of my favorite TV shows. That is the beauty of having a computer and an internet connection at home, huh! Thanks to technology. There was one time that I got addicted to a particular series that I could not help but finish it in one sitting. Boy, if my eyes could really speak that time, maybe it would just pop out and tell me to let them rest! But, I did not listen to those thoughts. I satisfied myself and went on. I think it was already seven in the morning and I was still watching. The other members of the household were already awake so upon hearing them got up, I immediately turned off the computer monitor and pretended to be sleeping and pretended to have waken up also. My husband was gazing at me and told me, “You stayed up all night again. You look like a zombie.” What? I immediately looked for the mirror and indeed, I was a walking zombie! My eyes were sort of bulging and there were bluish black circles under them! I wonder if it would be different if I put an eye wrinkle cream . Anyways, I tried to compose myself and told my husband that maybe an insect bit my eyes. Then, I opened the computer monitor and told him that I was actually just about to start watching. Oh, you bet that he did not buy it but he just allowed me to do it. Anyways, that was just a simple thing. Moreover, whatever makes me happy is fine with him. I realized though, I should take care of my eyes. I somehow got conscious. I am not getting any younger and using beauty products could help. I looked for some wrinkles and unfortunately found some lines. Right now, I am applying some creams on my face. I hope that it would really bring back some glow on my face and most especially on the eye area. After all, they say that your eyes are the windows to your soul. Better keep it wide open, beautiful and smiling.

He drew a flower

26 May

We plan to go to the mall today but something came up. That saddens me and brought out all my frustrations. I am quite pressured in life right now and I could not take it anymore! Oh, I am not to commit anything bad, huh! I just have to cry this out. I blurted out my feelings and told my husband about it. I do not know, he seemed could not understand. That is what I have observed lately. We do not have the same wavelength anymore.

I realized that my son is here. He was able to hear our fight. What he did? He drew a flower on his drawing board and showed it to me. My heart melted. thank you, son!

Now, I feel okay. We are to go to the mall already. We have not patched things up but we have to move on for our son.

What to do at the mall? We are going to buy my son’s school uniforms and school supplies.

‘Til next time!

Favoritism

09 May

Now, I can conclude that I am not really a favorite. It is hard to accept. You are doing your best, yet it seems not always enough. While the others are just keeping cool about things, they seem to be more noticed. How fair is that? Who says then that there is something fair in this world?

Oh, do not take it seriously. I am talking about my blogs. :) This one, though has some page rank and traffic, still remains in the shadow of the others. Crazy, huh! Sometimes, no matter how hard you work, you still remains at the sidelines.

Living one day at a time

26 Apr

During my stay here inside our house, I begin to recollect. We are living one day at a time and just going with the flow. We do not have any rules to follow. We do not go on a budget. Our life is sort of a come what may. My husband and I do not really sit down and talk about the future. We do not like to pressure ourselves with what is going on right now like the global economic crisis and how it is affecting our lives right now.

The minimum fare of riding a tricycle increased again from P8 to P9. Our electric bill read around four hundred bucks higher… Oh, we have never been conscious on how to save electricity. We use our microwave even for heating water whenever we would like to have coffee. We cook our son’s noodles there too. Ironing clothes? Oh, we do not do that in bulk. That would be so tiring. We use two computers at the same time while the third member of the household who does not have his own computer watches TV. Moreover, he added a new gadget, that of a wireless headphone which consumes added electricity. Our refrigerator is big at 7 foot and it is working just to cool water. Yes, we do not do our weekly market.

The long list of things to change and for us to get organized and maybe go on a budget is endless. Right now that I am thinking of it, I am having a headache. It puts pressure on me. That is why, most of the times, I just really let things be and go with the flow.

New strands

25 Apr

Be careful on what you wish for. That is now the motto of one of my dear friends. Well, it is not that serious though. I know that her hair would grow again. Actually, she had thick hair before. That was one of her beauty problems. She tried to make it look by having a hair rebond at least twice a year. However, she might not be able to do it for the moment. She is taking some medicines right now and one of the side effects is hair loss. At first, she was happy. She never thought that she is nearing bald already. She said that she might need a hair transplant in no time. She is really sad about it now. To make her laugh, I just told her that maybe nicer strands would grow soon and she would have the most beautiful hair ever. Anyways, hair transplants could really help if things get worse.

Everyday love

15 Feb

How did you spend your Valentine’s day? For those who are just starting, I hope you are having a blast wherever you are and whatever you are doing right now.

I used to be on leave during Valentine’s Day. I really like to spend the whole day with my husband and kid. Yesterday was different. I went to work. My husband told me that we could go out after my shift. Our son was cooperative and agreed to be left at home with his Aunt and cousin. Was I expecting something big? Not really! A few moments alone with him would be enough. You know , just like when we were still just boyfriend and girlfriend. He would fetch me at the office then anything goes afterward.

Clock said 630PM. We agreed to just meet at my favorite mall. I rode the metro rail transit (MRT). Was I excited? In a sense, yes. Or maybe just the idea of having someone to be with thrilled me? Anyways, the MRT ride was about ten to fifteen minutes. I decided to send text messages for a Valentine Greeting.

Love is being with someone who you could not live without. It is like the heart that should stay in one piece for you to be able to live. Feel and give all the love you could give not just today but if possible with every tick of time.

I sent that to around twenty persons and not more than fifty percent responded. Maybe they were busy. But anyways, I just want to wish them all a Happy Heart’s Day.

Finally, I reached the mall. Hubs was not yet there. As usual , it was traffic or maybe he did not leave the house earlier. After around thirty minutes, there he came. He greeted me, ” Hello, Tabachinching!” Read: Hello, cute fat woman! Ouch! Where are my weight loss pills? :-) No, I was not hurt by the remark. I am used to it. Besides, I am not doing anything to loose these love handles.

We did plan to have dinner and maybe watch some movies or crash into a concert. However, all   were sold out and hotels were fully booked. We ended up strolling at the mall for more than an hour until we found this Italian resto. Eat all you can breadsticks for every order of pasta! We also had the specialty of the house, turtle cheesecake Yummy!

After dinner, we went home. The biggest surprise of all that made my heart melt was waiting there. My son stayed awake waiting for me. He gave me a heart stick with a dedication he wrote, “I love you Mommy!”

Love is really a wonderful feeling! I thank God for my husband and son who shower me with lots of it everyday!

Inject a little laughter from time to time

09 Feb

Our everyday lives are full of stress. That is because we take it seriously as we should. Well, it is not bad to take a breath sometimes. That is why there are days that are called rest days, right? Take a break!

In the company that I am working for, there have been numerous cases of the Big C. Many lives had been taken away by this dreaded health condition. Our office admin always make it a point to investigate what is the probable cause why the one who passed away was afflicted with cancer. I appreciate their effort. However, how would you really treat stress or avoid the things that might be causing it? Treatment is only temporary.

Come to think of it, the cause of cancer could really be stated depending on what type. For example, Mesothelioma: it is caused by too much exposure to asbestos. After this one, I really could not say what is the cause of the other types like brain cancer, breast cancer, colon cancer, and other unwanted diseases.

Let us take care of ourselves. We could still be the one in control of the things around us. Prevention is still the key as they say. It is okay to live life seriously but inject a little laughter from time to time.

Loose weight for your own good

09 Feb

Sometimes it is hard if your life is like a fishbowl. That is the reason why one of my friends is sad right now. Well she had ended an eight year relationship that had been watched by everybody in her office. Yes, both she and her ex-boyfriend are working for the same company. Moreover, their departments are located at the same floor. That means that they would still see each other everyday. I could imagine the pain that my friend has to go through until she recovers from the break-up.

Why did they have to call it quits? Oh, you would not believe it! Talks were saying that it was because of some weight issue. My friend is on the heavy side. I was really afraid to ask her if she had tried to make that measurement improve. I do not like to offend her.

Somehow, though I really do not agree that I should loose some weight just to please a man, it alarmed me. I am now looking for the best diet pills in town. I tried some before but I stopped because I missed eating, lol! Kidding aside, it is really important that you take a diet pill that has been proven and medically safe.

I hope rumors about my friend and his ex and any third party would stop. It only adds salt to the injury.
