How did you spend your Valentine’s day? For those who are just starting, I hope you are having a blast wherever you are and whatever you are doing right now.
I used to be on leave during Valentine’s Day. I really like to spend the whole day with my husband and kid. Yesterday was different. I went to work. My husband told me that we could go out after my shift. Our son was cooperative and agreed to be left at home with his Aunt and cousin. Was I expecting something big? Not really! A few moments alone with him would be enough. You know , just like when we were still just boyfriend and girlfriend. He would fetch me at the office then anything goes afterward.
Clock said 630PM. We agreed to just meet at my favorite mall. I rode the metro rail transit (MRT). Was I excited? In a sense, yes. Or maybe just the idea of having someone to be with thrilled me? Anyways, the MRT ride was about ten to fifteen minutes. I decided to send text messages for a Valentine Greeting.
Love is being with someone who you could not live without. It is like the heart that should stay in one piece for you to be able to live. Feel and give all the love you could give not just today but if possible with every tick of time.
I sent that to around twenty persons and not more than fifty percent responded. Maybe they were busy. But anyways, I just want to wish them all a Happy Heart’s Day.
Finally, I reached the mall. Hubs was not yet there. As usual , it was traffic or maybe he did not leave the house earlier. After around thirty minutes, there he came. He greeted me, ” Hello, Tabachinching!” Read: Hello, cute fat woman! Ouch! Where are my weight loss pills? :-) No, I was not hurt by the remark. I am used to it. Besides, I am not doing anything to loose these love handles.
We did plan to have dinner and maybe watch some movies or crash into a concert. However, all were sold out and hotels were fully booked. We ended up strolling at the mall for more than an hour until we found this Italian resto. Eat all you can breadsticks for every order of pasta! We also had the specialty of the house, turtle cheesecake Yummy!
After dinner, we went home. The biggest surprise of all that made my heart melt was waiting there. My son stayed awake waiting for me. He gave me a heart stick with a dedication he wrote, “I love you Mommy!”
Love is really a wonderful feeling! I thank God for my husband and son who shower me with lots of it everyday!
