During the Typhoon Ondoy, my husband’s gadgets were all damaged. He is buying one by one items once again. When his gadgets are complete again, he needs a new KVM switch too. Oh, men. If women loves shoes and clothes, men loves gadgets! Which is more expensive? It really depends. Recently, hubs purchased a music gadget worth 9K. I was just able to buy a pair of shoes for only 300 bucks. Hmmm…

Precious pairs
My husband is very particular with buying things. He always wants everything to be a Best Buy. Funny but it took him almost a year to buy the rubber shoes that he was eyeing for all this time. Finally, I gave him that as a gift to him this Christmas. He has not actually wore those precious pairs yet. I thought he was going to finally use it when we went out this morning to hear mass. Sort of a blessing, eh!
However, he still did not. Oh well, guys could sometimes be unpredictable also. Who says that only girls are?
Spend smart
In this time of crisis, you should start thinking how you can start spending smart. That is very important because it would really mean a lot of savings. Example is in buying eyeglasses. I understand that there are certain brands that you trust but then think again. There are $ 8 Rx eyeglasses that you could purchase. Yes! For as low as $ 8! It is for real.
Look at my favorite high fashion eyeglasses. These are all affordable and to compare it with those expensive ones, these pairs are at par in terms of design and quality.
Affordable eye fashion
I bring my son to school every morning. I saw some of his classmates already wearing eyeglasses. I must tell their mothers about $ 8 Rx eyeglasses. That is if they have not seen yet Zenni Optical on TV!!! This Optical shop is really popular because of its affordable eyeglasses. Some kids, especially girls do not really like to wear eyeglasses but if they would see Zenni’s fashionable designs, they would be able to say, High Five to Zenni Optical!
My favorite hobby
One thing that our country’s shopping malls have not yet copied from the US is the so called Black Friday. I happened to hop in one blog that talked about this in one post and the things that she was able to grab on a Black Friday sale. Pretty impressive!
Here in our country, there is almost always a sale during paydays. Expect people to flock to the malls and go home with lots of shopping bags during these days. Yes, we are all hoping that there are still some bacon left to bring home. Or else, as my husband would jokingly tell me whenever I buy bags and shoes in a considerable quantity, “You could boil some of them!”
I am not hurt at all because I am happy that I was able to do my favorite hobby, that is shopping!
Good morning!
Wow! A good morning! I woke up around 5AM knowing that I have to leave the house by 8AM. I am on the ten AM shift today. We are planning to have a girls’ night out after work. My friend is encouraging me to buy a pair of those affordable shoes at the nearby Tiangge. Nearby meaning, just a minute walk, he,he,he. Well, there are nice designs and look durable too for as low as P300! That is only about 7-8$, would you believe! I am still waiting for my fruit of labor that hopefully would be credited today.
The nicest part about this morning is seeing some items at my dashboards. Now, I should really go and buy that pair of shoes without second thoughts at all.
Saved by the shoe!
Whoa! It has been a long day. I attended my god’s daughter Christening. I woke up around 6Am and started doing the laundry. Yeah, started only because I have not finished it until as of this writing. Anyways, I was excited and I prepared two sets of outfits. The more formal one and the casual one. After some thinking and exchanges, I preferred the casula one. Black maong pants and white top. I feel more comfortable than wearing the one that is nicer to look at. Anyways, I still wore the shoes that I planned to wear. This pair had been inside the shoe cabinet for quite some time already. I think it had been a year? It needed some repair and I asked my husband to check it for me.
I arrived at the church on time, around 1215PM as requested by my friend. It was A OK until after the baptismal ceremony. When we reached the reception for lunch, I noticed that the strap of the right shoe seemed loosen up. Oh,no! That would be a big embarrassment!I panicked! Fast thinking to go to the nearby department store which is four minutes away from the venue. I grabbed my friend to accompany me. Good thing some of the guests took a cab and we took the one they alighted from and rushed to buy new shoes. Well, I almost opened the envelope for my god daughter if I did not find a pair of shoes on sale! LOL!
We just walked our way back and the party had not started. We were sweating because it was mid noon. Some of our friends asked where we had been. I did not tell them until our way back home.
Yes, guys, my shoes gave in! I needed to buy a new one. My husband said that I am too heavy for that kind of design already. Okay, I have learned my lesson. Always go for comfort and not style. Buy ones that are durable enough. Cheaper ones would compromise quality.
But then again, this new pair? I think it is of quality. It is just affordable because it is out of style?
Road trip and shopping
It is my rest day today! I rode the motorcycle an we went to the famous Tiangge every Holiday season in Marikina City! It was a thirty minute drive. It was sort of an excursion for me and my son. It was our first time as a family to all ride in our tiny motorcycle going to a farther distance. We passed by three or four barangays before we finally reached our destination. It was fun but I must admit, not that safe. It was hard to catch a jeepney ride when we were about to go home. The initial plan was me and my son would just take the public transportation going back home. Anyways, we are all here now enjoying what we had bought.
Wow! We got some good buys there!
Son’s rubber shoes- P280
Hubby’s sandals- P300
Office Shoes- 200
Slippers- 50
Blouse- 100
Chopping Board- 75
Toys- 50
I will not mention the brand of the shoes and slippers but they are all branded. I do not know why those are affordable.
And the blouse that I bought, I am wearing it right now! I am just enjoying the fit. I might use it for our out of town trip tomorrow.
