It is already 10:30 AM! I must get up and prepare for work! I hate it! Palm Sunday and I have to go to work! This must change. I must grab my books, review, pass the boards, work as a PT and maybe go abroad and have a better life? You get it right? Yes, I do not want to go to office today. But, I do not have a choice!

Thoughts of Papa

When I was commuting about four hours ago, many thoughts entered my mind. First, it was my Dad. Well, I think of him from time to time. I was closer to my father. I would say, I love him more. He is not with me anymore. I hope and pray for his soul to be of course in Heaven, with the Lord. He died 1996. It was a long time ago. My Aunt died two years ago and we had a chance to visit our father’s grave again. Oh, life… and death. His remains were in a sack. My Aunt had to be buried in the same grave…

My father died at the age of 69. I was barely in my early 20s then. We had a generation gap. We never had the usual or the ideal father and daughter relationship. I had so many questions then. I was not contented…

I am a parent now. I hope my son would not ask the same questions I asked before. My son and I somehow has this generation gap also… I am praying everyday that I am being able to perform my task as a parent. It is not easy.

I got a warning from my friend to stop visiting other blogs for a while. She said that we might be suspended because of high CPU usage. Err…our blogs, I mean. What people did the past week? Hoard! Yes, people went to the supermarkets and filled their cupboards! I am just glad that beauty section has not really been emptied yet. I could still see acne products, make-ups, lipsticks and others! My office mates told me that I got darker after almost nine days of not seeing me. I am also having breakouts. I really need a make over soon!

Almost everyone in the family is musically inclined. Should I say that almost everybody in this world is? I think so. Music has always been a part of our lives.There are different kinds of tunes though. There are happy and jolly songs. There are sad songs. There are Holy songs. There are loud ones. There are soothing ones. There are good lyrics. Others are just to express yourselves.

When you say music, it also means musical instruments. The main musical instrument may be your own self like your voice. You could sing in acapella or create different sounds using your vocal cords if you got the talent to do that.

I used to play banduria. My husband is a very skillful guitar player. How about our son? He loves banging everything like the table, the door, the plates and anything that he could create some sound on. Because of this, I think I should introduce him to drums or maybe, Gongs. Oh, I could imagine the sound of a gong right now. It is very Holy. Maybe because gongs are associated with Buddhism. We usually hear gongs played at temples as bells at churches.

Strike again!

Two days ago, I came to the office, wet! Well, it was raining hard. To add, there was a strike of the jeep sector. They were demanding for low oil price as there had been price hike lately. I thought that I would not be able to catch a jeep that was why I was in a hurry to ride the very first one that I saw. I took the seat beside the driver.

I was able to get some shots of the strike. Well, it was obvious that somehow, the jeepney drivers or not all of them decided to just continue to drive and give service to the commuters. There were only few participants.

During my interview for the job I have right now, I was asked what do I think about strikes. I was asked if I would participate in one. I said that I have nothing against strike since it is the right of anyone to stand by his own principle. As of me, I am just here to work.

Doctor, doctor I am sick

My friend has signs of becoming a hypochondriac. She is obsessed to know How to Cure diseases and what are the causes. Is it a good thing or a bad thing? With the popular virus going around these days in the name of H1N1, I observed that many people are becoming aware or conscious about their health. Count me in! I got wet in the rain yesterday because I did not bring my umbrella when we went for lunch. I thought it would not rain because it was real sunny. But it rained. I could feel the cold in my back that I had to remove my blouse. I used my friend’s shawl and put on my blazer. After an hour or two, I started sneezing and felt a slight headache. Oh, no! I do not want to catch a flu. I went to the clinic and asked the nurse if she could give me something to prevent any kind of sickness to happen. She said that I just have to drink lots of water and start taking vitamins.

I am excited to attend baby first birthday parties. It is always fun. It is always a happy occasion, do you agree? Here in our country, first birthdays are really celebrated in a big way. Parents save for it. My goddaughter would be celebrating her first birthday this July and her Mom is already preparing for it. Imagine that! She is planning to have the famous cartoon character as a guest. Actually, that would be the theme for the whole party. Dora, are you ready? My son had a costume party during his first birthday. I wonder if my friend would require us to come as Boots or Benny?
