Now it is chocolate

My theme? It is called choco theme. Thank you to the one who created this! I lost most of my previous themes. I already replaced the Valentine theme because it is March already, obviously, huh! Anyways, I still want a new one. It is just that, I really do not have much time to do that. I want a summer look. For now, it is choco theme. It is not good for me though because it reminds me of chocolates!

A new sofa

We will go to the mall today. We plan to watch a movie in 3D! Then I would like to visit the house and home section to look for a contemporary furniture for our living room. The sofa there should be replaced already. It has been with us for more than eight years. It is big for the area also thus we need a smaller one.

Mom and child talk: What did you bring me today, Mommy?

Actually, my son asks, What did you brought me today, Mommy? I always try to correct his grammar every time. Well, it feels great knowing that someone depends on you and someone values you a lot. You know, kids! Their smiles are enough payment for everything.

My son loves Pringles! Onion and Sour Cream Flavor. I know junk foods are not really good. I give in to that because my son does not eat everything that a usual kid eats. There are only few products that could satisfy his taste buds.

Two days ago, he went to me and asked me again, what did you brought me today, Mommy? I said what did I bring you today? Nothing! He then, cried and said, Waaaahhhhh!!!! Then he stopped and just said, Okay bring me green chips tomorrow, do not forget…

This morning, he was very surprised! I was contented. I know, I made him happy. I bought him 7 packs of his favorite chips! Well, buy one take one!

My son? He loves toys! He always wants to buy one every time we visit the mall. Well, as a loving parent, I would like to see him smile and not cry around or even throw any tantrums if we could not give in to his request. I am just glad that as he grows older, we could talk to him already. He now understands that there are days that he will just have to look at it and maybe do the buying some other time like on his next birthday maybe or if Mom and Dad will have extra cash.

All kids are adorable

The cute chubby little boy in front of me really made my day more sunny! In a positive way of course! He made me smile! Of course, I did not show it because the mother might not like it. Other parents do not like their kids to be the object of enjoyment of others. Maybe they feel violated and sometimes take it as other people are making fun of their kids. You know, when all would started looking at their kids and would giggle and would blurt out, cute, cute, so adorable! Then, others would blurt out, FAT! In Tagalog, ang taba taba! Well, people now are sensitive about everything that involves being overweight. Even in small kids, it is not that acceptable anymore. I think it is a good thing because usually, children are also not spared by weight related diseases.

Anyways, going back… the kid was really cute. I did not sleep during commuting and just looked at him. Kids are really adorable no matter how they look. All kids are adorable.

Thoughts of Papa

When I was commuting about four hours ago, many thoughts entered my mind. First, it was my Dad. Well, I think of him from time to time. I was closer to my father. I would say, I love him more. He is not with me anymore. I hope and pray for his soul to be of course in Heaven, with the Lord. He died 1996. It was a long time ago. My Aunt died two years ago and we had a chance to visit our father’s grave again. Oh, life… and death. His remains were in a sack. My Aunt had to be buried in the same grave…

My father died at the age of 69. I was barely in my early 20s then. We had a generation gap. We never had the usual or the ideal father and daughter relationship. I had so many questions then. I was not contented…

I am a parent now. I hope my son would not ask the same questions I asked before. My son and I somehow has this generation gap also… I am praying everyday that I am being able to perform my task as a parent. It is not easy.

I love you, Papa.

One day at a time

Before I go back to sleep, I am proud to have accomplished some tasks. I really want to do more. I have so many plans. Yes, I have long term goals. However, I do not know where to start. I do not know or I am lazy?
Since it is Chinese New Year, I have decided to list down some priorities for the year:

1 . Health- as they say, health is wealth. We have a rough start in this aspect. My husband is diagnosed to have diabetes. Actually, he has so many other conditions. My son, he always have cough and colds. There is occasional nose bleed too. Me? I have migraine attacks and I am obese.
We should have a change in lifestyle.

2. Finances- I really thank God for always providing us with all the things that we need. Sometimes, we tend to abuse it and buy things that we do not really need. Our savings account is crying right now. I hope to have more money in the bank. We need to start budgeting. We never learned.

3. Education- mostly for our son. He only do study or review his lessons whenever there is an exam. You know, he does not have study time. I hope that I could also find time for him. I want him to learn a song. Something that he really knows from start to finish and he could perform. I want him to learn how to dance too.

4. Spiritual- we already missed masses this year. I hope that we could make up for it.

5. General house rules- our home is not always spic and span. Makalat kami! My husband and I never agreed on the design of the house. I always give in to his wishes. He wanted a big space in this small house while I want the conventional one. We never use our dining table.

So far, those are the things that I could think of. I have to make a more specified list next time.

I know we can do it, one day at a time!

Long story

I missed watching my favorite TV shows lately. One of these shows is Grey’s Anatomy. Well, the attraction for me is the hospital setting, Mr. McDreamy and of course the medicl topics being discussed in every episode. I wonder if they have talked about enzyte already. Well, they had an episode about a septuagenarian who wanted to still be in the active state. My husband said that he hopes that we will forever be close to each other and enjoy each other’s company.

Hmmm… I forgot to ask you, what are your plans for today? Did you prepare for this day? In what way? My husband bought an I-touch and he said that it is my Valentine’s gift to him. His gift to me on the other hand is an imitation. Hahaha! I know, you don’t understand. It is a long story.

Today is quite an unproductive day for me as a Mom. It is really a rest day! I got out of bed at around 5PM. I watched Blind Side. I really like the film. It talks about football. Funny but while watching the film, insurance quotes popped into my mind. Maybe because the narrator compared the position of a football player to insurance. Is it true that in US, after the mortgage, insurance is the second priority? Anyways, I see nothing wrong with it. I am all for it. Insurance gives me a feeling of security. I hope to buy more once I got more money and if job promised to be stable. You know, recession.

Anyways, today is Valentines Day already in some parts of the world. It is Chinese New Year too! So, I wish everyone a very nice day! Enjoy it with your loved ones. As of me, I will go to work by 10AM. That means, I have to go back to bed!

Put your heart into it

As a blogger, I must say that I have grown. Hey, I have been blogging for two years already! Imagine that! I still have much to learn though. I would like to make my own theme complete with so many functions like click here, widget ready, color choices, font choices and so many others. I want also a function of the theme wherein it is easy to change the header. Now, I really have big dreams, huh! well, as they say, you could learn anything that you want to do and be good at it. Just put your heart into it!
