Mom and child talk: Computer Paint Art Genius

My son was very happy to tell me the great news that he was chosen to be their class’ representative at the Computer Paint Art contest. According to him, he was sort of a wild card. At first, three of his classmates were chosen to compete with each other. That was last Wednesday. Today, his teacher noticed his drawing thus the class was told that he will be included in the elimination round today. Four of them were asked to draw a house and a car. My son finished first and according to him, his drawing was good. My son is happy with his accomplishment. He said, Mom, I am chosen because I am good!

Well done, my Son!

It will be the Christening of the niece of one of my closest friends! Oh, if you would see the invitation, you would definitely fall in love with it. Actually, they purchased blank invitation card stock invitations and they added personal touch into it. Their baby is so cute and you would not like to let go of her the moment that you hold her. I love that kid! I want now to have my own baby! Young kids aged one to three are really adorable, aren’t they? Yes, I am excited about having preparations also like parties and invitation cards!

Right now, I have a baby boy who just turned eight! I am actually planning to have a grand party for him when he turns nine. I am starting the preparation right now and of course, one of the elements that I need to look into is an attractive invitation! Creating my own with the use of blank card invitations might just be the answer! I can personalize it with colors as I can choose from a variety of shades available! Oh, I am really excited this early, huh! Well, my son deserves it being our only one! I am sure that he could help with the invitations too like he could draw in the blank cards or something. It will even be a bonding time for us creating and making those cards! Lovely!

Parents and Teachers Orientation Meeting: to attend or not to attend?
It is not a lecture topic or an essay about the above sentence. That is just my thought as I feel lazy going to my son’s school. Well, you know, today is a Saturday and usually, I sleep all day or go to the mall during weekends! Anyways, I cannot do nothing but to get up and maybe attend after all. My husband is very insistent. Haaayyyyy…..

Joys and pains of Motherhood

I am glad that we were able to bond with our relatives last Holiday season. One of my favorite cousins together with her husband and cute and healthy kids were in town. That was their very first time here in the Philippines as a family after ten years. They live in the United States. We talked about a lot of things. Mainly, we exchanged Mom’s notes as to our kids’ milk, vitamins, education and the joys and pains of motherhood.

Money is in the bank! Excited to buy the new desktop computer with Samsung LED monitor. This will be our gift for our son’s seventh birthday. Yes, no big party. His Dad was able to explain to him the value of money. Weee!!! They were the ones who talked about it. There will be just a small party here in our house for our relatives. You know just for picture taking and have a memory of his seventh birthday. The real celebration will just be a family affair. We are going to a theme park as requested by our dearest child!

I just had a big dinner of green leaves, tomatoes, eggs, potatoes, carrots and tuna! Thank you, husband for preparing it. Until now, I am trying to finish off some of the carrot pieces. Yummy!

Anyways, that was a good reward. Then there is my son. He has a star! He showed me his assignment. Their English teacher asked them to bring a picture of their mother and describe it in four or five sentences. Do you want to know what my son wrote about me? She has lots of money! What does my son thinks of me? How much more if he sees some bullion inside my cabinet? ( I wish!). That only reminded me to work harder. Yes, having an investment like gold is a must for me now.

Balancing act

Sometimes it is hard being a working Mom. You know, those balancing acts to prioritiza things. My hands are always full everyday. Lately, I have been too much focused in my work. I want to sort of show some inspiration to others that, hey, we must not change. We should still work hard because we are still being paid.

I was a couch potato yesterday. My eyes were glued on my favorite TV shows. I watched House, CSI New York and Top Chef. While I was watching my son asked me to make his milk. I told him that I will do during the commercial break. I do not know but maybe he was hungry and thirsty already at the same time, he shouted, ” Mommy, are you going to listen to the TV or are you going to listen to me?”. Oh, no, there was I again. Of course, he should always be first in my life. so, off I went and followed my master’s command!

I am looking for a great christmas idea. I want this coming Christmas to be more special for the whole family especially to my son. He will be seven years old by then and I observed that he is now retaining memories. I want him to start having good Christmas memories. i actually plan to have a big party. I want to invite all our relatives and there will be gift giving and games and food. What do you think? Is that a great idea?

My Aunt, my idol

One of my idols is my Aunt who is based in Guam. At 73, she is still gorgeous. She looks like she is just in her early 50s. She still has the energy to do a lot of things. Her secret? Clean living, it is! She is also financially stable. Her kids are grown up already and have their comfortable lives too. That is because they are good children and their parents were able to raise them well. They were sent to good schools. They have good family values too. Her husband who is 75 years old is also as healthy as she is and would you believe, still working as an engineer. I told my Aunt that maybe they want to put some of their hard earned money to a good investment like good bullion. She said that she has heard of the United States Gold Bureau and she might give them a visit one of these days. They have six grandchildren and they want to make sure that they will also have good lives. I really idolize my Aunt. I hope that I can do those things in the future too.
